You will start for Kansas before I see you again; and when I saw you a moment this morning, I forgot to ask you about some of the Kansas appointments, which I intended to do. [1] ALS, DLC-HW. Delahay to Lincoln March 29 expressed hope that `` . . . the appointment of Surveyor General for Kansas . . . '' would not be made ``until I can see you. . . . '' (DLC-RTL). Delahay himself received the appointment.
