I am prepared against all threats to see you safely placed in the Presidential chair . . . if my services as military commander . . . be deemed necessary.'' He added in a postscript, ``Lest you may not know the part I have acted in behalf of my country, I send you . . . a pamphlet. . . . '' (DLC-RTL).
