Charles J Beattie of Livingston County is about to apply to your excellency to be appointed Pros Atty for the 20th Judicial Circuit in the Place of Samson DeWitt deceased. If it is the wish of the Bar of that Circuit I should be glad to see him appointed to that office Respectfully
