Annotation

[1]   AE, DLC-RTL. The envelope carries an additional notation in Lincoln's hand ``A Lyons, Save as receipt.'' The signature is Robert Todd Lincoln's. Alonzo Lyons had written Lincoln on February 15, enclosing for collection a draft on the Fund Commissioners of the State of Illinois. Presumably it could not be collected at the time.
