To Jonathan K. Cooper and Hugh W. Reynolds [1]

Messrs Cooper & Reynolds Springfield,
Gentlemen May 28. 1857

Your letter of the 25th. to G. W. Lowry, [2] has been handed me to answer. I brought the suit of Eshrick, Black & Co. vs Tobias [,] Hittle & Co. [3] the clerk tells me the process has been served in time, and I suppose a judgment will be had at the ensuing June Term, unless the defendants appear and make a case for a continuance, of the probability of which last, I know nothing. Yours truly
