[1] AES, IHi. Nathaniel Coffin, treasurer and trustee of Illinois College at Jack-sonville was interested in a case involving the college trustees, Gilman et al. v. Hamilton et al., and had written Lincoln June 21, 1853, for information. Lincoln's note appears on the bottom of Coffin's letter.
[2] William Weer, Jr., attorney, and A. McKim Dubois, clerk of the Macoupin County Circuit Court, both of Carlinville.
