HUNGARIAN MEETING.

It is proposed that a Kossuth meeting be held by the citizens and others now visiting the seat of government, on the 8th of January inst., at 7 o'clock P. M., at the court house in Springfield. All are invited to attend, and to express their views freely.

Annotation

[1] Illinois State Register, January 6, 1852; Illinois Journal, January 6, 1852. The only major variation in the two printings is that the call is dated January 6 in the Journal. Two of the signers, who have not been previously identified, are: Ebenezer Peck, Chicago attorney, and William I. Ferguson, a Springfield attorney who was occasionally associated with Lincoln as legal counsel.
