[1] AD, I-Ar. The original bill is in Lincoln's hand, but it was introduced by Jacob Vandeventer, representative from Schuyler County, on January 22. As passed and amended, it appears in Laws of the State of Illinois, 1835, pp. 103-104.

[2] As amended at this point, the act finally read ``between Meridocia and John Wigle's in Adams county. . . .'' (Laws, p. 103).
