on Public Accounts and Expenditures Concerning the Contingent Fund1Jump to section
The committee on public accounts and expenditures to which was refered the report of the Auditor of public accounts relative to the contingent fund have had the same under consideration, and have directed me to report---That in their opinion, the principal part of said fund has not been misapplied. The committee however, are of opinion that some charges which have been allowed are exorbitant---and have resulted in a useless expenditure of the public money. The committee ask to be discharged from the further consideration of this subject.
