A bill to amend an act entitled ``An act to raise for a limited time, an additional military force and for other purposes'' Approved, February 11th. 1847.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled: That hereafter the legal holder of any land warrant issued under the provision of the ninth section of the act to which this an amendment, may locate the same at any land office of the United States, in one body, or in parcels, (in conformity to the legal subdivisions of the public lands and subject to the present limitations in relation to the purchase of small quantities of land with money---) upon any of the public lands, within the land district of such office, then subject to private entry, or to which such warrant-holder may, at the time of location, have a legal right of pre-emption. Provided, that the whole right of location under any one warrant, shall be exhausted at one time.
