Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln. Volume 1.
Lincoln, Abraham, 1809-1865.

To John Bennett [1]

Dear John: Springfield, Jany. 16- 1846.

The enclosed letters I wrote last night, but when I went to the Post-office this morning your mail had left about half an hour. So I send them by Mr. Harris. [2] Will you please take out the one addressed to you, [3] and drop the others in your Post-office, unless you see the men to hand them to in person, in which case please do that. Yours as ever A. LINCOLN
