Amend said Bill by striking out all of the first section after the word ``repealed'' in the eighth line thereof, and inserting the following towit:

``and hereafter every Inhabitant of said City who is intitled to vote for state officers, and who has the requisite length of residence according to the act to which this is an amendment, shall be eligible to the office of Mayor or Alderman of said City.''
