[1] ADS, Sangamon County Recorder's office (Book F, p. 471). Lincoln's document is notarized under date of July 10, 1833, and recorded as of August 1, by Robert Conover, J.P. The document records the purchase of Radford's store by Green. Later on the same day, Lincoln and his new partner William F. Berry bought the same from Green for approximately $750, paying $265 cash, and assuming the payment of the two notes of $188.50 each given by Green to Radford. Berry gave Green a horse, saddle, and bridle for the remainder.
