[1] Vandalia Free Press, January 10, 1839. The first resolution condemned the Governor of Maine for refusing to deliver two citizens accused of kidnapping a slave in Georgia, by condemning all such state executives. The second resolved that the citizens of non-slaveholding states ought not to interfere with the domestic relations of slaveholding states. Consideration of the resolutions was postponed.
