- To left, bust of Constantine VII facing, bearded, wearing modified loros and crown with cross; to right, slightly smaller bust of Romulus II facing, beardless, wearing traditional loros and crown with cross; between them they hold globus surmounted by patriarchal cross with X in center. Restruck on coin of Romanus I. Traces of all four lines of inscription from the reverse of Romanus' coin.
