- Full Artifact Description
- Large fragment of a red sprang cap with green and yellow patterning. A heavy yellow and green cord is present at the meeting line of the structure. The fabric is folded at the meeting line and the sides are sewn together to form a cap. The cap is probably inside-out in the photos.

- Fabric Structure
- 1/1 interlinking sprang with extra yarns twining through the interlinked structure.
- Structure Details
- There are regularly occuring spaces which create a lace herringbone pattern in the main structure. Yellow and green extra twining yarns form spiral decorations with dots along each of the finished sides. Yarns are progressively grouped together to create a decrease in the linked structure towards the closing cord. The closing cord is knotted in the center. The two sides appear to be sewn together using the yellow and green twining yarns. The closing cord consists of several strands of yellow/green and black/purple but is too matted and hidden in the meeting line for construction details to be visible. There are two overhand knots at the center of the cord. There is a very small remnant of the drawstring and its loops in one corner. Because it is very small and matted, details are obscure, but it appears be to made up of the same yellow and red yarns used for the sprang.
