- Full Artifact Description
- Short, thick-haired dog wearing amulet, moulded in the round with fore- and hindlegs paired off. Fur at sides summarily treated with short, irregular lines. Fur at front is shown in clusters of strands around neck, and fur at chest is shown with vertical strokes. Dog looks straight ahead with frog-like eyes sketched on distorted bulging forehead. Muzzle is narrow and pointed. Dog holds body erect with ears pricked and tail curled. Reddish brown clay (Muns. 2.5 YR 5/4) moulded hollow in three sections and sealed with lengthwise dorsal and ventral seam which converge between ears with lateral seam of the forelegs. Small circular vent in sub-rectal position.
