- Full Artifact Description
- Standing figure of Hermes holds a large caduceus, or herald’s staff in left arm and grasps the top of a money pouch in his right hand. Wings on head. Perhaps originally had winged heels or sandals. Projection rises from center of Hermes’ head, perhaps a lotus petal or ibis-plume. Figure wears a chlamys draped over both shoulders. Slender body flatly executed. Right arm mended. Both legs missing below knees.
