Full Artifact Description
Mended. Foot and large parts of body and neck are modern. Reddish buff clay with paler yellowish slip. Red brown to brown-black glaze. Three stripes on inside of mouth. Bars on lip top. Groups of zigzag and a meander on neck. Groups of zigzags on shoulder. Between handles a panel with elaborate geometric pattern flanked by panels with dotted lattice pattern. Below a meander band; a chain of lozenges (concentric and dotted on A, latticed and dotted on B); zone with stylized floral forms and swastikas as filling ornaments; lower body covered with horizontal stripes. On the handles bars between lengthwise lines, with a dotted lattice pattern on flat space between the loop. Patterned triangle below the loops. Double spiral unusual in Boetian Geometric. Transitional type decoration.
