Full Artifact Description: Reddish micaceous clay; unglazed. Late lamp. Perl-shaped has wick hole in top of smaller end. Raised molding about almost flat top of lamp and another about large central filling hole continues along neck to wick hole forming channel. On rim between these moldings is leaf pattern on either side of front, and raised dots behind. Ring handle at back and top of lamp broken. Double ridge on under side of lamp beneath handle and one on either side beneath nozzle. Oval base ring. Written about lamp is: catacomba scoperte sulla Via Nomentana.
