Full Artifact Description
Light straw yellow (=”paglia”) flushed with deeper yellow; with long band of finely veined purple; one thick vein of deep golden brown; fades to pink-yellow on one edge; diamond-shaped piece; is not Brecciato. A few tiny chips on surface; much concrete clinging to back.
Giallo antico. Roman name: Marmor Numidicum (marble from Numidia). From Chemtou, Tunisia.
