Flat grave marker. Lines 1-3 monumental style. Lines 4-8 rusticated style. On reverse is cyma reversa at top and three letters of monumental inscription, probably Augustan Public style. Broken and mended.

To the gods of the underworld. For Lucius Calpurnius Rufus clerk of the praetorian fleet at Misenum. This man, sent to Ephesus on business, died and there in a sarcophagus of marble he was buried. Marcus Sittus Africanus hid townsman and heir made this memorial at the camp.
