- Flat grave marker. Very small and shallow lettering. A few slightly rusticated forms (M and A) Much irregularity in size and spacing. Tall I. Some curvilinear elements (e.g. T cross-bars, long q tails) Open P’s . Nail holes at upper left and lower right corners. Back is dressed flat, not smooth. Top and side edges smooth. Very light chipping, some stains.

Metrical Transcription:
Hospes, ut noscere possis,
Briseis mihi nomen adeptu, fuit.
Quarter septenos non dum complevera menses,
sed mea fata miqu iniqua fuere, tata,
Nex plures annos ut vivere possem,
Mors inmatura adripuit me a parentibus. - Inscription Translation
- Stranger, so that you can know,
- the name Briseis was won for me.
- Four and seven months I had not yet completed,
- but my fates were unfair, daddy,
- nor for more years (was it permitted )that I be able to live.
- Premature death snatched me from my parents.
- To my Albanus.
