His bunk mates have been sick; he has spent considerable time caring for them. George Hadley and Frank Brunson are playing cards. Roasting potatoes. The weather is warm and it doesn't feel like winter. Thinks that she would like Virginia. Will send her his likeness. Happy on account of a drink of whiskey from the doctor.
