- Waiting anxiously for Gilbert's response to the matter discussed the previous Sunday. "I have made several bargains with them and failed in consequence of not hearing from you the last letter I wrote them I asked them to hold on until I could go and see you an know what it going to be done. Gilbert I am done a waiting lingering and Staying along on suspense of something to be done I have struggled along to keep my family together as well as soul and body but I am a going to break up as soon as I can make provisions for Them I am going to start by my self and see what I can do I am a Comeing down there as soon as I Can arrange my affairs to leave I am going to care for my Family as well as I can I dont care what the Devil becomes of me." Has about two weeks of work left before leaving.
