Sidney Berman was born in London, England, and graduated from London Polytechnic and Oxford University. Emigrating to the United States in 1947, Berman began his own business. He is the founder and chair of Meducation International, LlD, a multimedia communications business in medical education. He actively pursues an interest in Lincoln.
Joseph George, Jr., is a professor of history, emeritus, at Villanova University. A prolific author on Lincoln and the Civil War, George has written articles for Civil War History, Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography, Lincoln Herald, Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society, and Pennsylvania History.
Mark E. Steiner is associate editor of the Lincoln Legal Papers. He received a B. A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Houston. His dissertation was "Abraham Lincoln and the Antebellum Legal Profession. " He has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center and at South Texas College of Law.
Frank J. Williams is a lawyer in Providence, Rhode Island, and past president of the Abraham Lincoln Association and the Lincoln Group of Boston. He has written numerous articles on Lincoln, lectures widely, and continues to expand his private Lincoln book and manuscript collection.
