RICHARD N. CURRENT, Distinguished Professor of History Emeritus, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, has coauthored or edited five books on Lincoln including The Lincoln Nobody Knows.
JOHN Y. SIMON, Professor of History, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, is executive director of the Ulysses S. Grant Association and editor of The Papers of Ulysses S. Grant.
FRANK J. WILLIAMS is an attorney in Providence, Rhode Island. He has served as president of the Lincoln Group of Boston since 1976, and chairs the Lincoln Advisory Committee of Brown University.
