Otto Laske (IAKTA) Atau Tanaka (CCRMA) The panel on algorithmic music will examine the aesthetics and potentials of algorithmic composition. In the former instance, the panel will consider the various parallels between human creation with a cultural context and machine composition in an apparent void. In the latter instance, the panel will discuss algorithmic composition in regards to musicological research (in particular, studies of style), analysis and the extension of human creation via computer-assisted composition.
