—Pleasant—Rehearsing. A.M. writing & studying P.M. at Theatre 7 P.M. "Heart of the World" was played and received better than any piece yet presented The reception was not only a great triumph, but a surprise for me. I was informed by several old residents that such applause was seldom heard in the walls of a Louisville Theatre—The house was the best of the week. My appearance before the curtain, upon being called out, was enthusiastic in the extreme—and far better than I could possibly have anticipated from the inferior of rendering of one half of the parts
