—Warm—Called on Parsloe A.M no answer to my letter to Bates but a telegraphic dispatch was received from him to the effect that he wanted a good Juvenile actor, Parsloe telegraphed back that I would come for $25,00 per week and a clear third Benefit—Rather big terms for Bates to accede to; but as he seems hard pushed he may give it—4 P.M. went down with George to steamer Alabama, on which he had taken passage for Savannah—bid him "goodbye" and in a few minutes the steamer got under way.
