'tis ~~…illegible~~ almost time that I had an engagement made for the coming season—and it is also very certain that I shall not be able to make one in New York—something must be ~~depended~~ decided on, and that shortly, too, or ~~the rent~~ rent-day will come around and find me unprepared to meet it in an agreeable manner.
