She will fill the position of leading woman, for which she is engaged, quite well. It is almost impossible to find a good leading actress, for as soon as a woman discovers that she possesses b one degree of talent above mediocrity there is no keeping her in a Theatre—she must "star it"—J P Addams played the Stranger—This gentleman's friends are injuring him, by persuading him to play tragedy—As a Yankee comedian he is the best now in the field—and should confine himself solely to that—but he must needs essay Richard III and characters of that stamp to portray which he lacks physique, appearance, and voice—
