Tues 21st Unsettled—Reading & walking A.M. Reading & studying P.M. went to the Theatre to see Richings as Don Cesar De Bazan. I was never more disappointed in my life: expecting to see the part played, at least, respectably, I saw it worse performed than ever before. I did not think that Richings could play any part badly, but this his Don Cesar was truly a miserable piece of acting—and his conception of the part was as poor as the execution—There was a good house—nothing extra
