Pleasant A.M. sudden change P.M. quite cold—some snow—Reading & walking A.M. walking & writing P.M at Theatre 6 7 PM. played in first piece—after which—dressed and went to a ball given by the "Merry Bachelor Association" of this city—I am not very very fond of going to balls, but as this was a special invitation from the President of the Association I could not very well refuse going Miss Secor accompanied me, and we had an agreeable time of it
