Cloudy—unsettled weather—walking about town all day

with George—In the evening we went to see the Ravels at Niblo's Garden; the house was full. It is astonishing how they draw. They have been before the public for above twenty years and yet, without scarcely ever producing a novelty, they have played to well filled [sic well-filled] houses although every amusement seeker must have seen them over & over
