Mond. August 1st Warm—Cloudy—rain in evening—Reading writing, walking A.M. writing P.M. at Bowery Theatre 7 P.M.—The St. Charles Theatre reopened under the management of C. R. Thorne—He has not yet recovered the use of his leg but he will be able to manage, and can act in two or three pieces where a stiff leg will not be out of place. There was a good, though not a crowded house—The company is a fair one and with good management the Theatre may do well
