Tues 26th . Cool. Rehearsal A.M. writing P.M. at Theatre 7 P.M. in two pieces Devil
to Pay, and it was so literally, for nobody knew anything of it,
Rookwood was the last piece. Pooor House.

Wed 27 th . Cool, Rehearsal A.M. the Robbers was put up for the 28th all the Actors new in it, it is impossible to tell what the bill will be for two days at a time,—you dont know what to study.

Frid 29th —Pleasant—Rehearsal A.M letter from Pauline. I could not tell by it whether she wanted to see me or not, she wanted me to correspond with her, but I cant stand that—and wrote her so, telling that I would like to see her. if I can 't do so, I write no more letters at Theatre 7 P.M—the Ravel family and Wallace. Good House.
