EIGriTH -- And finally, I have deliberately avoided any prossy ~ interviews to this point, because -ve could have nothin-, to report until the Committee met and besan to function. As a result, this has been reported by one newspaper as a "secret" meeting. I belie vo we must decide how those meeting s are to be conducted, and ho;; wve should handle press releases and press relations in the future. 1 think it should be our purposo to get thinks done that are worthy of attention in the press -- both in Detroit and throughout the world - rather than to seek publicity for the Committee or ouraelVos.:.gore importantly, it is most vital that all of us on the Committee divolop rospect and confidence with each other directly, and not through the press. Novertheoloss, it is clear that the news modia intend to print something, and certainly wec have nothing; to hide. I feel very strongly that having reporters present at Committee or sub-committee raeetin-s would disrupt, rather than help, what wea have to do.
