Notes: This specimen is probably the one cited as a paratype of Lepiota oregonensis under the number 23426, due to a misinterpretation of handwriting. H.V. Smith's note on the field slip enclosed with A.H. Smith 24267, also a paratype of Lepiota oregonensis, appears to state "see card with no. 23426". However, both H.V. Smith and A.H. Smith sometimes wrote similarly-appearing 4s and 9s. In A.H. Smith's collection book, no. 23426 is listed as a Rhodophyllus and no. 23926 is listed as a Lepiota. A.H. Smith's cards for his personal Lepiota specimens are not in the file.
