His full name occurs on a Portrait-medal of Peter Skarga; - Count Potocki; - Centenary of the Polish statesman and reformer Hugo Kollataj, I912, etc. BIENER, CHRISTOF (Gern.). District-warden of Upper Saxony, 1593-I615. BIESSEN, GILBERT VAN DEN (Flem.). Mint-master at Vilvorde, aind Louvain, I392-1412; also mentioned as Mint-master of Louvain, in conjunction with Andre Thomas, of Malines, July 14Io-March 1419. BIGOTEL, JEAN (French). Goldsmith of Verdun, and Mint-engraver at Nancy, circ. I486-I489. BIGOTET, RICHARD (French). Goldsmith ot Lyons, cooperated with Jacques Gauvain in the execution of the gold medals which were presented by the Consulate of Lyons to Queen Eleonora, the Dauphin and Chancellor Duprat, in 1533. His date is circ. I529 -1563. BILDERDIJK, WILLEM (B. D. M.. Vol. I, 904, p. I88, Bilderdijk). A famous Poet, Scholar, and dilettante Painter, Draughtsman and Engraver, born at Amsterdam on 7. September 1756, died at Haarlem on I8. December 183 I; pupil of Joh. van Dregt. Vide Dr Thieme, Allgem. Kiinstler-Lexikon, IV, p. 25. BILLER, JOHAN DAVID (Germ.). Mint-master in Dresden, I756 -I759. His issues are usually signed: B or IDB. BILLOT, CHARLES (French). Contemporary Sculptor, born in Paris; pupil of Barrias, Coutan, and Picard. At the Paris Salon of I907 he exhibited several Portrait-medallions, and a Plaquette, La Mutualite, edited by A. Godard. BINCK, JAKOB (B.D.M., Vol. I, 1904, p. I88). Painter, Lineengraver and& Medallist, born at Cologne about rSoo, died in the summer of S569 at K6nigsberg.
