"The impression that Lysippus leaves on our minds," says Dr. Hill, "is of an amiable young man, without a strong artistic individuality, and with correspondingly little power of invention, exercising a pleasing talent for the benefit of his numerous friends among the notabilities (especially the minor notabilities) of the Papal Court from about I475 to I490." The Rosenheim Collection comprized eight medals by Lysippus, amongst which a fine example of the Giov.
