Bramsen describes two medals by this Engraver commemorating the Visit of King Jerome Napoleon and Queen Catherine at Clausthal, I81I. KOHLER, F.D. (Amer.). State Assayer of California, I85o, whose name occurs on an oblong Ingot (illustrated), issued in i85o, a specimen of which brought f 207 at the sale of the Bruce-Cartwright collection (London, 1907). Chief-engraver at the Mint of Kremnitz, born in I775, and in office from I798 to I854. KOLLI, NICOLAS (Swiss). Moneyer at Freiburg, from about 50o3; died in 1550. KONSf, GERRIT (Dutch). Mint-engraver at Harderwijk, I807. KONTI, ISIDORE (Austr.). Contemporary Sculptor and Medallist. Born in Vienna, Austria,July 9. I862. At the age of fifteen he entered the Imperial Academy of Arts in Vienna and there obtained a scholarship, enabling him to study in Rome, Florence, Naples, and Venice. In I891 he came to the United States, and making his home in Chicago, he assisted in executing some groups for the Agricultural and Administrative Buildings of the World's Columbian Exposition. In I893 he settled in New York City. Among his important works are the group "West Indies", and the spandrels symbolizing the North and East rivers for the Dewey Arch; groups for the Temple of Music and the esplanade, Pan-American Exposition; the two side cascades of the great fountain at the St. Louis
