It was known everywhere I spoke of it, and the title at least was familiar even to educated persons in the cities. A copy of it is frequently carried as an amulet. In one farmer's home I was permitted to copy one which was always kept under the image of the Virgin of Altagracia, the patroness of the Dominican Republic.
