118 The Negro's Church is inadequate in these respects, the program must often be one-sided and ineffective. The determining principle in erecting or purchasing any new church building is that the plan should be suggested by the kind of program that the members and the community need and can maintain. This leads naturally to a consideration of the program of the Negro church.
