UDUT.rj) utas. I. A coil; a skein; a measure for
string, thread, netting, etc.; a numerical
coefficient in speaking of quantities of thread;
a single thread. Di-buka-nya sa-utas manekmanek daripada leher-nya: he removed a string
of corals from his neck; Ht. Gh.
II. Skilled labour; craftsmanship; a craftsman. Segala pandai dan utas: all the smiths
and craftsmen; Ht. Ism. Yat., 78. Utasperigi:
a well-digger; Ht. Best., 80. Di-rapat uleh
segala utas-utas saperti rapatan perahu: it was
