If' gesek. Rubbing or scraping a sharp edge
against anything,-used especially of playing
the violin. Ta'-dan gesek biyola hendak
mnenari dahult: before you have time to scrape
your fiddle he is off trying to dance; excessive
self-assertion; Prov. Menggesek: to rub or
scrape. M. biyola: to play the violin. Cf.
gosok, gisir and gesel.
J4g gesel. Rubbing two sticks or other light
bodies gently against one another,-used
especially of ignition by friction. Cf. gesek.
' gisi. Gnawing the very bones; eating what is
r usually left untouched at a meal.

lascivious. Giyang sangat bisi chelaka ini;

to that of a bite. Orang sakit perut memulas
atau menggigit: a man suffering from griping
or biting pains in the stomach.
