seem to mean - chief miagistrate " of Gani~ and Burug; so also GOL. XXI
rev. 14. In GOL. XXI, I garim is coupled with ''the [inspector?] of the
cords UIn [he present passage "'' udge " would be the most natural
meaning. But the chief magistrate of a town would also he judge. The
proper name Garia could mean "my judge".
