Note that Bertram de Crioll received the whole of his fee for Michaelmas term........................ of the fine which he made with the king for the wardship and marriage of the two daughters of Maud de Everenches. Liberate to Richard le Rus and Henry de Wyly 250 marks [to distribute among] the king's [? serjeants-]at-arms as the treasurer and barons shall think best. Oct. 27. Liberate without delay to Emeric de Sacy 101. for [Michaelmas?] Chertsey. term of his fee of 201. Liberate to brother Stephen de Pontiniaco 30 marks to the use of his abbot.............. wherein the king was indebted to him for damages sustained by an abbey of that order by reason of the war which................. the king's letters patent of that debt of 60 marks to be [received] at the Exchequer. Allocate to Robert le Vavasur, sheriff of Nottingham and Derby, in the issues of the forest eyre of G. de Langele and his fellows in co. Nottingham, 100 marks delivered to the chaplain of Ellis de Rabayn to carry to the king................ as far as Freymantel for delivery to Henry de Ferleg' and other keepers of the king's works there. To the sheriff of Nottingham. Contrabreve to pay 50 [marks] out of the issues of the country to Ralph son of Nicholas...... [from the Purification?] of the Blessed Virgin in the 36th year till the Purification following. To the bailiffs of Bristol. Contrabreve to pay.. 1. to Wybert de Rue out of the farm of their town. To the same. Contrabreve to let the same Wybert have a tun of wine of the king's gift. (The four final entries are too much damaged to be intelligible.) 6-(22)
