Liberate without delay to brother Richard, monk of Kirkestal, Woodstock. bearing these letters, proctor of Master Roger Luvel, king's proctor in the court of Rome, 201. of the king's gift for Roger's expenses. By K. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to pay without delay to Master Alexander de Branfeud, physician of Edward the king's son, 20 marks of the king's gift out of the issues of the county or some other source. By K. Aug. 13. To the sheriffs of London. Contrabreve to pay 20 marks of Woodstock. the king's gift without delay to William de Chabbeneys. By K. To the sheriff of Oxford. Contrabreve to pay 10 marks of the king's gift to John de la Sale. By K. To the sheriff of Surrey. Contrabreve to pay 2d. daily to Ellis Maunsel for keeping the king's park of Geudeford from the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the 36th year to St. John the Baptist following. To the sheriff of Northampton. Contrabreve to repair the wall and turrets of the king's castle at Norhampton and all the buildings thereof where necessary, and to complete that part of the wall of the king's park which it is the king's business to complete; to repair anew the king's kitchen at Geytinton, to mend the gutters, and to set up the corner of the king's chamber, which has fallen down; to repair the king's buildings at Brickstok in like manner where necessary, and the doors and windows, to set up the wall between the hall and the kitchen where it is fallen down, and to make the gates anew; to roof the king's buildings at Silveston where necessary, to new make the wardrobe of the king's high chamber, to mend the larder, to set up the wall by the grange, which has fallen down, and to repair anew the bay of the king's stew; the cost to be credited by view. To the sheriff of Warwick and Leicester. Contrabreve to pay 30 marks of the king's gift without delay to Henry le Peytevin, not failing thereof as he loves himself, seeing that the king does not wish him to make the imprest of 50 marks to Henry lately ordered, but to return the writ therefor.
