Contrabreve to pay 100s. without delay to Nicholas de Sancto Mauro for Easter term in the 36th year, and [100]s. for Michaelmas term following, of the yearly fee of 51. granted to him to maintain himself in the king's service so long as he remains therein. By K. To John de Escrutevill, keeper of the king's manor of Boudun. Contrabreve to spend up to 40s. by view in renewing and repairing the king's buildings at Boudun. By K. To the sheriff of Norfolk. Contrabreve to pay 15 marks of the king's gift without delay to Robert le Noreys to maintain himself in the king's service. By K. July 12. To the sheriff of Cambridge and Huntingdon. Contrabreve to Clarendon. pay 15 marks of the king's gift without delay to Raymond de Bevill the king's kinsman to pay his debts. By K. To the sheriff of Somerset. Contrabreve to spend 40s. in repairing the king's gaol of Ivelcestre, and to carry a fother of lead to Gillingham for the king's works there out of the lead which is in his keeping at Warham. By K. To the sheriff of Dorset. Contrabreve to make a penthouse between the queen's chamber and her chapel in the king's castle of Shireburn, the cost to be credited by view. By K. To the sheriff of Wilts. Contrabreve to pay 40s. of the king's gift to John de Cambio. By K. To the keepers of the king's works at Bristol. Contrabreve to remake the barbican of the postern of Bristol castle towards the town with the five oaks which the king has ordered to be felled and carried to Bristol, and to replace and repair the shingles of the king's chamber and kitchen which have fallen down in the wind. To the constable of St. Briavels. Contrabreve to fell five oaks for timber in the forest of Dene and carry them without delay to Bristol castle for delivery to the keepers of the king's works there to carry out those works. By K. July 14. Liberate to William de Ponte 191. 10s. for 13 tuns of wine, to Clarendon. William de Baudus 101. 108. for 7 tuns, to Bernard de Fonte 331. 6s. 8d. for 20 tuns, and to Constantine (Constent') de Monte and Bernard de Brusses 341. 10s. for 23 tuns, all bought at Bristol in the 36th year by the hand of Robert de Dacre, taker of the king's wines.
